A meeting between the General Consul of the Republic of Tajikistan in Istanbul and the President of the association of Turkish travel agencies TURSAB.
On June 3rd, 2014 a meeting was held between the General Consul of the Republic of Tajikistan in Istanbul and Mr. Basharan Ulusoy, the President of the association of Turkish travel agencies TURSAB.
During the meeting the General Consul Mr. Ilhomjon Abdurahmonov discussed the touristic potentiality of our country, strengthening the relationship between Tajikistan and Turkey, as wells as interchange of expertise and experience in the sphere of tourism between the two countries, implementation of programs for the improvement of the touristic sphere in Tajikistan, campaign for encouraging Turkish investors to take part in investment projects in the sphere of tourism and attracting more Turkish tourists.
Mr. Basharan Ulusoy, the President of TURSAB, took an interest in the touristic potentials of Tajikistan and considered it necessary to revive the cooperation and the interchange of expertise for attracting more tourists as it would be mutually beneficial for both
In connection with the comprehensive promotion of the cooperation, Mr. Basharan Ulusoy announced his support in holding a “Week of Introduction of Touristic Opportunities of Tajikistan in Turkey.”
In the meeting Mr. Basharan Ulusoy highlighted the importance of learning about the investment opportunities in the sphere of tourism infrastructure in Tajikistan. In the near future, the association TURSAB plans to send a delegation of businessmen working in this sphere to Tajikistan.
At the end of the meeting with the association a CD titled “Guide to Trade and Business in Tajikistan” as well as promotional and informational materials relating to touristic opportunities in Tajikistan were presented.
It should be noted that the association TURSAB was founded in 1972 and is one of the biggest professional organizations in the sphere of tourism and currently, 6000 small to large companies belong to this association with its offices located in twenty locations throughout the territory of Turkey.
