Deputy Foreign Minister M. Huseynzoda participated in the Meeting of Foreign Ministers on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Central Asian countries and France

At the invitation of the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development Mr. Jean-Marc Ayrault, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers was held on March 29, 2017, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries of Central Asia and France. The delegation of Tajikistan was headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Huseynzoda.

The sides discussed the issues of regional and international agenda, and also considered ways of strengthening and developing relations between the countries of Central Asia and France. As part of the events marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the opening ceremony of the exhibition of archival documents of the French Foreign Ministry took place, reflecting the ways of establishing and developing diplomatic relations between the countries of Central Asia and France.

On the same day, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan M.Huseynzoda had a meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development of France, Mr. Jean-Marc Ayrault.

At the meeting, held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, the wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation was discussed, including in the sphere of politics, economy and trade, environment, water and energy cooperation, as well as in the field of combating extremism and terrorism. It was noted the importance of organising the high-level visits, with the aim of revealing new horizons of cooperation between the two countries.
